Ian has created and shared three very valuable flow charts (you can download them below). By following along while studying, you will gain a much better understanding of many of the seismic design requirements and calculations described in the code.
If you are not already familiar with these concepts, I highly recommend that you study them thoroughly in preparation for the SE exam!

|The first part of these flow charts outlines the appropriate procedures for determining “seismic ground motion values” and “seismic design category” which goes along very well with my previous post.|
The last part of the flow charts goes through the “equivalent lateral force procedure” step-by-step. It is very useful for making sure that you don't miss all the little details in the code.
